Setting Up LOGBOOK in QRZ and then REQUESTING CONFIRMATION of QSO
Make sure you have your QRZ Logbook ENABLED.
Select “ACCOUNT”
On the ACCOUNT Page, scroll to bottom where it says LOGBOOK. Make sure “Show Logbook tab on my callsign page” is ENABLED. Also, ENABLE “Accept incoming Private Messages (PM’s)” in case someone wants to send you a message to confirm a QSO. This might be a good idea! These settings should enable your QRZ logbook.
You should see a tab on your QRZ page for Logbook once those steps are complete.
Now let’s request a confirmation of a QSO we had with someone using the logbook.
First, you have to input your QSO information into QRZ’s logbook.
On your main Logbook Page “Select” the Contact that you want to be confirmed.
Then, “Select” ACTIONS at the bottom right side of the page (You may have to scroll to the bottom of your logbook for it to appear).
“Select” REQUEST and Continue
Now your REQUEST to your contact has been sent. NOTE: If the Contact does not have a Logbook or it is not enabled you will get an error message with an explanation as to why the request was not sent. This can be frustrating when you want to be acknowledged on every QSO you have with someone, but it happens and is frustrating. I enjoy having QSOs with people near and far and the logbook can be a good record of those interactions.
You may see that after you make a request that next to the contact is a Grey Dot, this means the request has been sent, but not approved. If it’s a blue dot then the request has been requested and seen by contact but not approved.
Hopefully, all of your contacts get approved and you get Yellow stars next to them.
