Presidents Message – June, 2025

Just a quick update from the club’s new President. We had a change of guard recently so I want to get a quick message out to the club members of upcoming things we have going on with the club.

ARRL Test Sessions
We have been testing since the beginning of the year. We have had a slow few months with new people taking their Technician, General, or Extra FCC licensing exams with us, but as the summer progresses, I am hopeful we will see an uptick in people venturing into Amateur Radio and taking it to the next level with the Technician exam. Upcoming events
Our next PARC Hoppers Field Day will be on June 21, 2025, at Markham Park in Sunrise.

Also, the Broward ARES/RACES is sponsoring the ARRL Summer Field Day 2025 along with the Gold Coast Amateur Radio Club. The event will be held June 28-29, 2025, at Quiet Water’s Park in Deerfield. Everyone is encouraged to come on out ($3.00 park fee at the gate). There’s Food, Flea Market, and Contesting utilizing CW, SSB, & FT8. Other local clubs have been encouraged to join in the fun as well. So, I hope to see you all out there.
